Asian Catering: Build a Party Menu From Rice, Noodles, and Stir-Fries
Rice, noodles, wok-fried meat and seafood, cold salads, and rolls, all cooked in party quantities by Ms. Hoang. Pick a few dishes, tell us your headcount, and we size the order.

What an Asian Catering Order Usually Includes
Our menu is Vietnamese and Chinese-Vietnamese, with one Thai-style beef salad. That covers most of what people mean when they ask for Asian catering: fried rice and noodles, wok-fried meats, cold salads, and rolls.
Rice and noodle dishes come by the tray. Stir-fries like salted pepper squid and lemongrass chicken are sold by the pound, and one pound serves about 3.
Prices for every dish are on the full menu. If you want the tray sizes and prices side by side, see our party trays page.

How to Pair Dishes for an Asian Catering Menu
Most successful spreads follow the same order. Choose a starch first, add one or two hot dishes, add something cold, then add finger food. If you are not sure how much to buy, text us your guest count and we will suggest a mix. For Vietnamese-only menus, see Vietnamese catering in San Jose.
Start with a starch
Fried rice, chow mein, or rice noodles give every plate a base. One large tray covers 30 guests.
Add one or two hot dishes
Mongolian beef, kung pao chicken, or broccoli stir-fry. For 30 guests with two stir-fries, 5 pounds of each is a starting point.
Add something cold
A papaya or Thai-style beef salad cuts through the wok-fried dishes with lime and fish sauce.
Finish with finger food
Egg rolls and chicken wings go out first and give guests something to eat while the rest is being set up.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as Asian catering at Co Hoang?
Vietnamese and Chinese-Vietnamese party food, plus a Thai-style beef salad. We do not cook sushi, Korean barbecue, or Indian dishes.
Can I mix Vietnamese and Chinese-style dishes in one order?
Yes. Most orders do. A common mix is a rice or noodle tray, a stir-fry, a gỏi salad, and egg rolls.
Which dishes are spicy?
Kung pao chicken, lemongrass chicken, and the Thai-style beef salad carry the most heat. Fried rice and chow mein do not. Text us if heat is a concern and we will tell you what can be adjusted.
Do you have vegetarian dishes?
The mixed vegetable tray is the main meatless dish. Ask us before assuming any other tray is vegetarian, since fried rice, noodles, and salads often include meat or seafood.
I have a food allergy. What should I do?
Tell us when you order. Many of our dishes use shrimp, crab, fish sauce, soy, or nuts, and we will tell you which ones to skip.
